Summit Packaging Systems is seeking a Machine Operator – Stamping to join our production team in Londonderry, NH. This role is responsible for operating stamping presses to produce quality mounting cups used in our aerosol valve assemblies, ensuring efficient, high-quality output that meets Summit's production and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES l
Set up, operate, and monitor stamping presses and related equipment to produce mounting cups to specification.
Select and use proper raw materials following first-in/first-out (FIFO) inventory procedures.
Perform in-process quality checks using gauges and inspection tools; document results per quality procedures.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material defects, or process deviations to the Production Supervisor.
Perform minor adjustments and routine maintenance on stamping equipment between runs.
Maintain accurate production records, including output counts and downtime tracking.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Meet or exceed daily production and quality targets.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience operating stamping presses or similar manufacturing equipment preferred; motivated candidates will be trained.
Basic mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality specifications.
Comfortable using measurement tools such as calipers and gauges.
Must be available for assigned shift, including overtime as production demands require. Reliable transportation and authorization to work in the United States required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35–40 lbs.
Repetitive use of hands for machine operation and material handling
Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment, including exposure to varying noise levels.
Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times on the production floor.
